Signature show Phu Quoc project is one of the key GRC construction projects of Dragons in 2022.
Inspired by the story: An alien girl from the vast universe, through a cosmic black hole named Vortex, she met the love of her life, a Mediterranean boy on Earth. A wonderful no-distance love story and the climax is their meeting at the two strips of land of Cau Hon – the symbol of eternal love in Phu Quoc Pearl Island. Signature show wishes to bring unique performances to visitors and become the next tourism icon of the South of Phu Quoc.
The project’s black holes are designed with almost 2000 GRC cladding panels joined together to form an arch. This is a challenging project of Dragons in terms of designing, 3D curved surface component manufacturing and erecting on the steel structure foundation. To ensure that almost 2,000 3D curved panels and almost 50,000 bolts are articulated during erection, Dragcons engineers used a highly detailed BIM model to handle collisions and designed joints with other disciplines in the project.
As required by the very urgent progress of the project, Dragons’ factory and construction site had to work overtime and take all resources into designing, manufacturing and erecting to keep up with the required schedule. In addition, because the project is located on Phu Quoc island, transportation is not convenient, so the process of transporting goods to the construction site is quite difficult, Dragcons has to use a specialized film to spray onto the surface of the product to ensure that the product surface is not scratched or damaged during transportation and erection.
The production and erection work for the project has currently achieved more than 50% required volume and received good reviews from customers about the quality. Dragcons is aggressively speeding up the production and erection schedule to complete and hand over to the Investor according to the committed schedule.
